Bowtie Chicken Pasta Salad

3 C Bowtie pasta (uncooked)
1/2 C mayo
1/2 C miracle whip
4 C cubed cooked chicken
1 1/2 C seedless red grapes halved
1 1/2 C seedless green grapes halved
2 C thinly sliced celery
1 C cashews
16 oz bottle coleslaw dressing
5 oz can water chesnuts
1/2 C thinly sliced green onion
2 C dried cranberries (crasins)
Tumeric to taste (about 1/4-1/2 tsp)

*Mix mayo, miracle whip, coleslaw dressing, and tumeric in mixing bowl until well blended. In seperate bowl add everything else except the cashews and crasins. Add dressing to the rest of ingredients and let sit overnight so flavors blend. Just before serving add cashews and crasins. Enjoy!! :o)

Apple Muenster Salad

Salad

Romaine lettuce
spinach leaves
1 pound Muenster cheese, cubed
cashews
Granny smith apples, cubed

Dressing
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. salt
1/3 c. apple cider vinegar
1/2 T. chopped onion
Blend above then slowly add 1 c. vegetable oil
Add 1 1/2 T. poppy seeds before serving

Crunchy Asian Broccoli Coleslaw


~I am into trying new recipes right now. After going through my first trimester of pregnancy and the wonderful smells that get to you a lot of my favorite dishes are still not edible. Also with this heat only cold dishes sound good to me. I tried this one out yesterday & I have to say again well done Kraft Foods. I love this website! They have very many yummy things that are fast, easy, and very cheap! Enjoy!

9 servings, 1 cup each

1/2 cup KRAFT Zesty Italian Dressing
2 pkg. (3 oz. each) ramen noodle soup mix
2 pkg. (12 oz. each) broccoli slaw
4 green onions, sliced
1/2 cup PLANTERS Dry Roasted Sunflower Kernels
1/2 cup PLANTERS Sliced Almonds, toasted

MIX dressing with Seasoning Packet from one of the soup mix packages. Discard remaining seasoning packet or reserve for another use.

BREAK apart Noodles; place in large bowl. Add slaw, onions, sunflower kernels and almonds; mix lightly.

ADD dressing mixture; toss to coat. Serve immediately.

Make Ahead
Dressing mixture can be prepared ahead of time. Cover and refrigerate up to 24 hours. Noodles can also be crumbled the day before; place in resealable plastic bag along with the sunflower kernels and almonds. Seal bag and store at room temperature until ready to use to assemble salad.

3 Tbsp Brown Sugar
3 Tbsp Banking Powder
¾ tsp. Salt

6 Tbsp. Oil
3 Eggs
4 ½ C. Milk

German Pancakes

6 Eggs
1 C. Milk
½ tsp. Salt
1 C. Flour
5 Tbsp. Butter

Whip eggs & milk. Add salt, butter, and flour.
Bake @ 450 15-20 Min.
Makes 2 large pancakes

Mountain Man Casserole

26 oz pkg. shredded hash browns
9 eggs
1 tsp seasoned salt
1 C meat:
Bacon, ham, or sausage
2/3 C melted butter
1 C milk
2 C grated cheese

Butter cake pan & line with most of the hash browns. Drizzle melted butter over top & sprinkle with seasoned salt. Bake @ 400 for 15-20 min. Mix together eggs, milk, & salt, set aside. Sprinkle hash browns with cheese. Put meat on top & cut the eggs into the hash browns. Top with remaining has browns & bake @ 350 for 45 min.

Crepes

1 C flour
2 Eggs
½ C milk
½ C water
¼ tsp salt
2 T melted butter

Place ingredients in a blender & blend for 30 sec. Stop & scrape down sides. Blend 30-60 sec until smooth. Pour 2 T batter into hot pan. (med-high heat) rotate pan to spread very thin. Cook until lightly brown.

1 Anaheim Pepper

2 Medium Tomatillos (cut into bite size pieces.)

½ bunch of Cilantro

Juice form 1 Lime

¾ Jar KRAFT peppercorn ranch

Salt to taste

3 cloves Garlic

Pour ranch into blender, add tomatillos, Anaheim pepper, cilantro, & garlic. Blend 1 min until smooth. Pour lime juice, blend again. Add salt. Blend. Refrigerate. *Makes about 1 bottle of dressing

¼ Lb grated cheese

Chicken Enchiladas

4 Chicken Breasts
3 Cans Cream of Chicken Soup
1 Large can Green Chilies Diced
1 Onion Finely Chopped
16 Oz Sour Cream
¾ Lbs Monterey Jack cheese
¾ Lbs Mild Cheddar
(or 1.5 lbs Colby jack cheese)
Mix all but ½ of cheese, spread sauce on bottom of pan. Around 3 T per tortilla. Roll & lay into pan. Poor sauce over, spread cheese and place sliced olives on top.
Cover & cook @ 350-45min.

Italian Dishes


Spaghetti Bake

1 ½ lb. diet lean ground beef
1 onion
1 clove fresh garlic, minced
1 lg. can cut up tomatoes (25 oz.)
1 can tomato sauce (15 oz.)
1 can/bottled sliced mushrooms (4 oz.)
1 tsp. sugar
¾ tsp. seasoning salt
1-2 tsp. oregano
8 oz. spaghetti, broken & cooked
2 C. grated mozzarella cheese
About ¼ C Parmesan cheese

Brown meat. Drain off any fat. Sauté garlic & onion with meat. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, mushrooms, sugar, seasoning salt, & oregano. Simmer about 15 min.

Meanwhile, break spaghetti into a large pan of salted, boiling water & cook until tender. Drain. Combine with the meat mixture . Place half in a 9x13 baking dish. Layer mozzarella on top. Then repeat the rest of the meat mixture. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top. Bake, covered with foil @ 350 for 30-45 min or until hot & bubbly. (can make ahead of time & refrigerate. This usually takes longer to heat up in oven.)

Chicken Parmesan

6 chicken boneless skinless breasts
½ C bread crumbs
½ C Parmesan cheese
1 egg beaten
¼-1/3 C olive oil

Combine bread crumbs & Parmesan cheese. Dip chicken in egg then crumbs. Brown in oil
1 jar spaghetti sauce
1 clove garlic
1 tsp oregano

Combine spaghetti sauce, garlic, oregano. Pour into bottom of baking dish. Place chicken on sauce. Bake covered @ 350 for 40 min.
Top each piece of chicken with slice of mozzarella cheese.

Bake uncovered 5-10 min more.

Serve over cooked spaghetti pasta. Sprinkle with 2 T parsley.

Pasta with Asparagus

½ Lb Pasta cooked and drained
4 Garlic cloves, Minced
¼ C Olive Oil
1 Lb fresh asparagus, cut into 1 ½ '' pieces
1 tsp salt
¼ c shredded Parmesan cheese

Cook pasta, meanwhile in a skillet cook minced garlic in butter oil for 2-3 min. Add asparagus & salt. sauté until asparagus is crisp-tender, about 8-10 min. Put pasta on a large bowl. Pour asparagus over hot pasta. Top with shredded cheese and serve.

Pizza Rolls

Mix Together & microwave 1 Min:
1 C Scalded Milk
2 T Margarine Melted
2 T Sugar
¾ tsp Salt
3-3 ½ C Flour
1 T Yeast
Add Sugar to milk and Margarine. Dissolve yeast in ½ C warm water. 1 C flour- Mix till smooth. Add yeast - flour (knead)
Roll out like pie, cover with spaghetti sauce or pizza sauce. (light) Put on toppings. Roll like Cinnamon rolls & slice, then put into 9x13 pan.
Bake 350- 20 -30 min
Last 10 min put sauce & cheese on top.

Olive Garden Fettuccine

1 pt cream
1 cube butter
2 T cream cheese
½-¾ C Parmesan cheese
1 tsp garlic powder
Fettuccine

Cook pasta. Meanwhile combine other ingredients cook until thick & smooth.

Lasagna

½ Lb lasagna noodles (9 noodles)

1 ½ pounds ground beef

3 cloves garlic, minced

¼ tsp pepper

1 (1 pound, 12 oz) crushed tomatoes

1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce

1 (3 oz) package spaghetti sauce mix

1 T sugar

2 C ricotta or cottage cheese

2 C mozzarella cheese, grated

Cook lasagna noodles as directed on package. Pour off water. Place each noodle carefully on waxed paper to prevent sticking together. Brown ground beef. Add minced garlic & pepper to ground beef. Cook & stir for about 2 min. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, & spaghetti sauce. Simmer about 15 min Remove from heat. Set aside 1 cup meat sauce & ½ cup grated cheese for later.

Grease 9x13 pan. Layer 1 cup meat sauce mixture on bottom of pan. Layer 3 noodles over meat sauce mixture to cover. Layer ½ cup cottage cheese, followed by ½ cup grated mozzarella cheese, over that. Repeat layers a total of 3 times, ending with the reserved 1 cup meat sauce & ½ cup reserved grated mozzarella cheese.

Bake @ 350 for 30 min. Remove from oven and let stand for 10 min before serving. Makes 10-12 servings.

Artichoke Dip

1 (16oz) can (not marinated) artichokes
1 small can diced green chilies
1 C non fat mayonnaise
1 C freshly grated Parmesan cheese (not from a can)
1 C spinach optional
Drain & cut up artichokes. Stir all ingredients together. Bake @ 325 for 25-30 min, or microwave until hot. Serve with Fritos chips or bread.
