Bread

Corn Bread


½ C Butter Melted
Mix in 2/3 C sugar
1 C Butter Milk
2 Eggs Beaten

Then Add:
1 C Flour
1 C Corn Mill
2 tsp. Baking Powder
¼ tsp. Soda
½ tsp. Salt

Bake @ 375 for 22-25mins in a 9x9'' Pan.

Suzan's Rolls

2 Eggs
1 C Milk ( 30 sec in microwave)
1 Cube Real Butter (softened)
4 C Flour
½ C Sugar
1 tsp Salt
2 tsp Dry Yeast

DO NOT let wet ingredients touch!!
Bake @ 375 for 15 min.

Poppy Seed Pound Cake Muffins

2 C flour
3 tsp. poppy seeds
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 C sugar
2 eggs
½ C butter
1 C plain yogurt

Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, 1 at a time.

Beat in yogurt & vanilla. Add dry ingredients until

thoroughly moistened. Grease muffin tins. Bake @ 400 for 15-20 min.

Parker House Rolls

Measure into mixing bowl: ½ C warm water. Add, stirring to dissolve: 2 pkg. active dry yeast.
Stir in:
1 ½ C lukewarm milk
½ C sugar
2 tsp salt
2 eggs
½ C soft shortening
½ of 7-7 ½ sifted gold medal flour
Mix with a spoon until smooth. Add enough remaining flour to handle easily; mix with hand. Turn into lightly floured board; knead until smooth and elastic (about 5 min). Put into grease bowl, grease the top of the dough, & cover with damp cloth. Let rise in a warm place until double in size. (about 1 ½ hrs). punch down; let rise again until almost double (about 30 min.) roll dough ¼ inch thick. Cut with a cup. Brush with melted butter. Fold over & shape as desired. Press edges together at crease. Place close together on greased pan. Let rise again 20 min. preheat oven to 400. Bake for 12-15 min or until golden brown. Remove form baking sheet immediately.

Grandma Hansen's Hard Rolls.

1 pkg. dry yeast
1 ½ T sugar
¼ C vegetable oil
6 C flour
¼ C lukewarm water
2 ½ tsp salt
1 ¾ C warm water
Dissolve yeast in ¼ C lukewarm water. Stir in remaining ingredients together & let rise for 60 min; shape into rolls. Brush with egg & sprinkle with sesame seeds or poppy seeds. Let rise for 30 in. Bake @ 425 for 15-20 min.
